HISTORY AND PURPOSE

It is very important that as a church, we participate in the total life of each member, especially our younger members.  The Scholarship Panel of Trinity Baptist Church was conceived with the purpose of recognizing the academic achievements of the members of Trinity with the intension of assisting them financially through scholarship awards.

Initially, the church through the committee awarded undergraduate scholarships to graduating high school students going on to college and also to students who were in college. After the death of our late pastor, the Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Tyler-Lloyd Memorial Scholarship was instituted in his honor.  This scholarship is awarded to members of the church who are enrolled in graduate programs.
