MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Deaf Ministry is to continue spreading the Gospel to the Deaf Community.

HISTORY AND PURPOSE

When Pamela Lloyd became deaf in the 1980’s, she asked her friend Pearl Johnson to interpret Sunday services for her.  Pam and Pearl sat side by side during morning worship.  The two struggled to educate the church about the Deaf community and its needs.  As a result, Pam and Pearl began teaching sign language classes in Trinity’s Bible Institute.  Since that time this ministry has grown, and its members have been instrumental in attempting to maintain and advance Trinity’s Deaf Awareness Ministry. Its role is to educate the deaf community, bringing them to a full saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
